Privacy policy
Arsenal Transfer Ticker — website and Android app. Last updated 31 August 2026.
The short version
There are no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address or location, we do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share anything with third parties for marketing.
What the Android app collects
One thing, and only if you allow notifications:
- A Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token. This is an identifier Google issues to your installation of the app so that push notifications can reach it. It is not tied to you, your Google account, or your phone number, and it changes if you reinstall the app or clear its data.
- Which alert types you have switched on (official signings, breakthroughs, new targets, momentum spikes, deals off). These are also stored on your device.
We keep the token so we can count how many installations exist and see which alerts people actually want. Notifications themselves are broadcast to Firebase topics — the same message goes to everyone subscribed to that alert type — so we do not need to know, and do not learn, which alerts reached you.
If you switch every alert off, or uninstall the app, the token stops being used. You can ask us to delete it (see below).
What the website collects
Nothing. No cookies are set, no accounts exist, and there is no analytics or tracking script on the site. Our hosting provider (Railway) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for operational and security purposes.
Where the content comes from
Transfer stories are collected from publicly available RSS and sitemap feeds published by news outlets and by Arsenal Football Club. Every report links out to the original article; we show a headline and a one-sentence summary, never the full piece.
Player photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and are freely licensed. The photographer and licence are credited on each player page. Player facts (age, position, club) come from Wikidata.
Summaries are generated by Google's Gemini model from those headlines. Only article text is sent to Google — never anything about you.
Who we share data with
- Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — delivers the notifications. Google receives your device token as part of that.
- Railway — hosts the site and database.
That is the entire list. Nobody else receives anything.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Since we hold no information that identifies you, there is usually nothing to access or correct. If you want your device token removed, uninstall the app or get in touch and we will delete it.

Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app.
